Lee-Ann Millar-Mendes joined Goddard Enterprises Limited on September 18, 2023, as the Group VP of HR & Shared Services. In this role, she leads the Group HR function, partnering with the CEO, CFO, and Compensation & Human Resources Committee to manage executive compensation and oversight within the Group. She collaborates with divisional HR professionals to develop organizational and human resources strategies, providing practical, proactive solutions to guide critical decision-making. Additionally, Lee-Ann collaborates with executive management on talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits strategy, succession planning, employee engagement, performance management and career development within the Group. She also leads the Group’s Public Relations function and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Group’s corporate philosophy and image.

With over fifteen years of progressive management and executive leadership experience, Lee-Ann brings valuable regional experience across the Caribbean in the financial services, retail, and distribution sectors. Before joining GEL, she served as Human Resources Director for the Financial Services Business Unit of a leading Caribbean conglomerate. Lee-Ann has excelled in developing and implementing comprehensive strategic human resource management functions, including leading change management initiatives during mergers and acquisitions, implementing employee engagement initiatives to enhance the employee experience, and developing and implementing performance management programs. In her current role, she drives the leveraging of HR technology solutions as a performance enabler in the transformation and execution of key strategic initiatives across the entire GEL group.

Lee-Ann’s educational background includes an Associate Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Math) from the Barbados Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. She was an Organization of American States Scholar, a Buell Duncan O’Neil Scholar, and a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. Lee-Ann has extensive training, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Prosci Change Management Certificate, and a Law for Human Resource Practitioners Certificate, among others.
