On Saturday, 23rd July 2016, a team of chefs from Katerserv, Trinidad, participated in a Culinary Food Fest which was designed to expose the quality chefs in an open air picnic-style atmosphere. The Event was organized by Sunday Breeze Entertainment, and chefs from Trinidad & Tobago, The Caribbean and US participated.
Katerserv’s Executive Chef Jan Kuska and Sous Chef David Harbansingh led the team of chefs which created local dishes with a new twist such as BBQ Jerk Wings and the Plantain, Pineapple, Pepper Kebab which was served with signature sauces like Tamarind Bourbon Sauce or Garlic and Shado Beni Sauce. The Menu featured a Callaloo and Crab Dumpling Soup, ‘GCG’ fries made from local provisions like breadfruit, sweet potato and cassava. Salads included a green fig and beetroot salad while the Juice Bar offered Sunsplash Drinks like Ginger and Cucumber ‘Cool Man’ Splash and Banana and Coconut ‘Funky Monkey’ Milk Shake. The Cheesecake ‘Factory’ offered Caribbean flavored Cheesecakes like Mango, Sour Sop, Coconut and Passion Fruit.
The GCG Booth was well visited during the entire Food Festival and it was a great exposure and advertisement of the Variety and Quality of Food that Katerserv has to offer.
