GCG Events Barbados

31 Oct 2016

GCG Events Barbados had a hectic fast-paced period from April throughout the summer for 2016.  The brand has continued to show excellence through pushing all limits to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. GCG Events will continue on the path of being the premier events catering company in the region.

Weddings

This year GCG Events Barbados, has taken a keen interest in the wedding market. We understand that this niche is a joint venture to the international market which leads to destination management. It is a perfect opportunity to have the brand of GCG Events as a flag ship for the region.

April 30th – Daryshash & Peter Clarke

GCG Events partnered with Island Bliss to execute the elegant garden wedding for 150 guests. We executed a flawless family style service for a wedding. Simply Outstanding!

Guests were treated to the delicious White Truffle Scented Risotto Balls during the cocktail hour.

August 4th – Ruthie & James Rock

GCG Events is the preferred caterer of the Barbados Concorde. It was truly remarkable to be a part of such a historic occurrence. This wedding was the first ever in the Concorde, Alpha–Echo aircraft.  The British couple, Ruthie and James, explained they have an unconditional love for the Concorde. The couple wed with a guest count of 50 persons.

The couple wanted the wedding filled with an aura of ‘Barbadiana’. They had a very simple bajan dinner menu, very ‘brown suga’ served family style.

                                                        .

Gildan Soca Royale

Gildan Activewear SRL has been a VIP Client of GCG Events Barbados for the past four years and we strive to continue meeting its expectations through innovation and consistency.

Soca Royale is one of the finale competitions hosted by the NCF to determine which artist has the sweetest tune and best party song to dominate Crop Over each year.

GCG Events has hosted the Party Tent celebrations of Gildan SRL for the past 3 years. Each year, a different theme is chosen with new colours for the T-shirts and fun activities. Our new kid on the block, created by us (GCG Events), is the famous ‘Soca Mini Mixx’ competition. Running for two years, the staff of Gildan has been pleased with the execution of the competition each year.

This year, the theme complimented the island’s 50th anniversary of Independence. The buffets had an array of traditional Barbadian foods; pudding & souse, conkies, macaroni pie, fishcakes, to name a few.

BLISS - The Ultimate Summer All-Inclusive Party

Bliss is seen as the climax all-inclusive for the Crop-Over season in Barbados. GCG Events Barbados has been a proud sponsor of such a prestigious event for the past 3 years. Bliss is known as the party that entertains and pampers its guests with the best known caterers and bar services on the island.

This year the event carried a count of 4000 VIP guests. GCG Events catered three different authentic food stations again, pushing the limits of our assiduous culinary team.

The team re-invented the ‘Loaded Mac and Cheese’ with Apple Smoked Bacon, Mushrooms, Italian sausage and Spanish onions and a seafood version. This station was definitely a hit with the patrons.

The Mac and Cheese Station: a simple meal known to the basic cook. GCG enhanced this meal with a twist that no one expected. Go ahead, try it GCG style.

Second, was the ‘Italian Polenta Station’. This station consisted of Creamy Polenta with a succulent Braised Lamb Shank in each portion. Within this station there was still a Barbadian element, ‘Bajan Creole Seafood Mix’ served with oven Dried Cherry Tomato Salsa.

The best will always be last.

The slider station had an exceptional response from the hyped party-goers. Each slider leaving this station was assembled with a light-sweet, freshly baked bun. The juicy mouth-watering fillings were a variety of Bajan Seasoned Chicken Livers, Crusted with Panko and a succulent BBQ Pulled Duck meat.

Stay Tuned…

As we move forward to our high tourist season of 2016, GCG Events Barbados has projections of good business, including  Events surrounding the 50th Independence celebrations; and, of course, the merriest season of all, Christmas. GCG Events will be hosting cooperate and personal season celebrations. #winteriscoming
