M&C Congratulates the St. Lucia’s National Swim Team

16 Dec 2015

Mrs. Carol Mangal (left), President of the St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association (SLASA), accepting a cheque from Mrs. Marella Devaux, Group Marketing Manager, M&C Group of companies.

As a proud sponsor of St. Lucia’s National Swim Team, M&C Group of Companies (M&C) would like to congratulate the team members for their stellar performance at the XXV OECS Swimming Championships which took place in Antigua,  from the 5th to 8th November.  Though the team was unable to retain the title at this event, the members performed extremely well, winning 100 medals and the team placed second to the new champions from Grenada.

Before leaving for the Championships, M&C showed its continued support of St. Lucia’s youth through the sport of swimming by presenting a monetary donation of $2500 to Mrs. Carol Mangal, President of the St. Lucia Amateur Swimming Association (SLASA).  Mrs. Mangal expressed her gratitude on behalf of the Association by saying that she was thankful for the donation and felt that the Association could always count on M&C’s support.

Mrs. Marella Devaux, Group Marketing Manager of Goddard Group St. Lucia, recently stated that M&C Group of Companies would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the St. Lucia National Swim Team on their great achievement at this prestigious event by attaining 21 Gold, 34 Silver and 34 Bronze medals in addition to the 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals won by the relay team and she recognised the fact that such an achievement is impossible without a lot of hard work and dedication.  Mrs. Devaux said that the team should be proud of not only their performance but also for representing this country in such a positive way through sport.
