On Friday, September 26, 2014 the Heart Foundation of Jamaica commemorated their quarter of a century of Simply Red under the theme 'Flair Fashion and Flavour'. The Foundation hoped to raise JCA$10 million for it Cardiac Rehabilitation and Research Centre.
This is a fundraiser that builds awareness to Cardiac Care and Cardiovascular disease. Healthy eating is therefore paramount to this programme and all the local and international culinary giants are expected to work with a corporate entity to promote healthy eating.
The young, the old and the fashionable invited themselves into a circle of culinary greatness. From lobster to duck, pork to chicken (jerked and baked) pastas and seafood, stamp 'n' go, sushi, pizzas and soups, accompanied by an assortment of tossed, garden and potato salads, the pickings were in scrumptious abundance. It was a wine lover’s feast as each booth paired a wine with the menu selected.
