Mr. John George Stewart Massiah joined the Goddard Group in 1974 as Operations Manager at what was then known as the Barbados Flight Kitchen. He was subsequently transferred to manage the Airport Terminal concessions at the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados in 1979. After spending two years there, he was transferred to Jamaica as General Manager of Versair Inflite Services and in 1983, was made Country Manager in Jamaica with responsibility for both the Kingston and Montego Bay operations.
In 1992, when Goddard’s opened the Head Office for its Catering Division in Miami, Stewart was transferred to Miami as Vice President of Operations for the Goddard Catering Group – supporting Mr. Joe Nicholson who was then President of the Company. In 2008, on the retirement of Mr. Nicholson, Stewart was promoted to the position of President. He continues to oversee the Goddard Catering Group which provides a world-class service to over seventy-five of the world’s leading commercial airlines and corporate jet operators; its Institutional Restaurants and Airport Terminal concessions, Ground Handling operations and its Event catering businesses across the Caribbean and Latin America.
We congratulate Stewart Massiah on this, his 40th anniversary with GCG and thank him for his sterling contribution to the growth and development of the Goddard Catering Group.
