The Human Resources Department provides professional Human Resource Management advice and services to companies in the Group in Recruitment & Selection, Training & Development, Payroll Processing and Administration, Industrial Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Organisation Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, HR Policies and Strategies and Employee Relations.
This Department also manages the Public Relations function through a Committee.
For the first time in its history, Goddard's published a Group Social Responsibility Report [CSR] in 2008 which gave an account of the company's stewardship - over the past few years - as a responsible corporate citizen, sensitive to the social and economic developmental needs of the various communities in which the company operates.
Goddard's sponsorship activities date as far back as the 1950's and 1960's when GEL supported cricket, football and athletics through gifts to outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen. Since then, however, GEL's social commitment has grown to support Education, Culture, Youth Development & Sports, Charity and Community Development across the many territories in which GEL operates.
